A tourist visa is a type of visa that allows a foreign national to enter a country temporarily for leisure and recreational purposes, such as sightseeing, visiting friends and family, or engaging in other tourist activities. Tourist visa is merely for spending quality time and visiting places in the other country where the current status of tourist is temporary.
These visas are specifically for non-working, non-business, and non-educational travel; allowing individuals to experience the culture, attractions, and scenery of a foreign country.
Tourist Visas are alike Visitor visas where in both types such visitors are allowed to enter a country on basis of leisure, pleasure and other fun engaging activities.
Duration
The duration of tourist visa depends on country to country. Like in U.K. it depends on which service is required. For Example: A visa of 6 months or 1 year is required.
Whereas, in Country like USA and Canada, 10 years of Multiple entry visa is given, thus allowing candidate to apply for a tourist to get the service in one go. Recently Canada tourist Visa is given as per the discretion of Embassy officer.
Requirements of Visitor/Tourist Visa:
- Proof of travel plans: Applicants must provide evidence of their travel plans such as hotel reservations and flight itineraries (sponsorship from the Inviter) when applying for either type of visa.
- Financial documents: Applicants must also provide proof of sufficient funds to cover their expenses during their stay in the foreign country.This could include bank statements showing enough money available in savings.
- Valid passport: All applicants must have a valid passport with at least six months validity remaining before its expiration date when applying for visitor visa.
- Health insurance: Some countries may require applicants to provide proof of health insurance coverage before they will issue either type of visa.
- Background check: Some countries may also require applicants to undergo background checks such as Police verification and other related requirements.
Sponsorship Invitation Letter:
It is the type of letter which is being sent by a family member (blood relative) to the other member, who resides offshore in another country. This letter acts as an invitation to stay for a temporary time period. It acts as a proof between both, inviter and invitee, thus creating a better understanding for an immigration officer, to act and take decision decisively. At last, this letter, doesn’t guarantee a visa but still acts as a genuine proof for both the sender and receiver.
